Chef of the Year - Florida

Chef Bob recognized as the industry chef of the year for Florida.

Over 3,000 chefs across the US were nominated for the Industry Chef of the Year Award.

Of the 3,000 chefs, 250 advanced as finalists, representing their respective states. In Florida, 19 chefs were named finalists – one of the most competitive states, second only to California. Each of the finalists chosen received at least 5 significant nominations from their peers, endorsing each chef for their leadership, mentorship and inspiration within the culinary industry.

Voting started on 12/27/2019 with over 60,000 votes cast the first day. Only one vote per chef, per phone number was accepted. On New Year’s Eve, voting ended and over 150,000 people ultimately voted. Winners for each US state were announced 1/3/2020.

I’m so touched and blown away by the support everyone has shown me, and all of the chefs in this award process. It’s very humbling. I’m so blessed and grateful to be representing Florida for Chef of the Year. There are a lot of great chefs here, a lot of great talent. I’m honored to be so respected and appreciated. Thank you to everyone that voted, encouraged others to vote, and to Industry for hosting the award.
